How long does it take to setup HughesNet
service?
The order confirmation and installation process should take no longer
than two weeks. Place an order today to start the process. The two week timeframe
is the very maximum time it could take. However, most new customers can be up and
running within a few days.
Is HughesNet Satellite Internet service as
fast as cable, DSL and other traditional broadband service providers?
Yes. In many cases, it is faster. Remember the days of dial-up?
HughesNet trumps dial-up speeds. In fact, it is up to fifty times faster! In the

Can I use my DISH® Network or DIRECTV® satellite

No. You will need a dish unique to HughesNet for successful transmission

1.5 million, spanning over 100 nations.
What type of technology does HughesNet to
provide broadband satellite service?
You are able to receive Internet service through HughesNet via satellite.
A Hughes technician will connect your MAC or PC to a satellite modem. This, in turn,
is linked to a satellite dish that is mounted on the roof of your home.
Are there any prerequisites to be able to
receive HughesNet Satellite Internet service?
No. As long as you have a computer and a home with exposure to the
southern sky, you are eligible for HughesNet Internet service. If you are a renter,

No. You will not need a data modem for your HughesNet satellite
Internet service. There are no dependencies required to enjoy your HughesNet. The
only thing you need is a home with a clear line of sight to the southernmost sky
and a “dish-friendly” residence, where dish installation is permitted on the exterior
or your home.
